Tai
Chi Qigong I
begins with learning the "form;"
one must first master the outer movements.
Once you have the outer shell, in this intensive one
day training, Jampa Mackenzie Stewart will give you
a deeper experience of Inner Structure of Tai Chi. It
is in deepening one's understanding of the Tai Chi principles
and how to embody one that you truly discover the profound
flavor and meaning of Tai Chi Qigong - one of the deepest
Qigong forms in the world.
Jampa
Mackenzie Stewart, is the director of Healing
Tao Institute. and a Certified Medical Qigong Therapist
and licensed acupuncturist practicing in Austin, Texas.
Jampa has studied and practiced Tai Chi since 1972.
He learned Tai Chi Qigong directly from Mantak Chia
from 1984-2001.
Beginning with Cheng Man-Ching's version of Yang style
Tai Chi, Jampa studied with Maggie Newman, Ed Young,
Myles MacVane, John Solberg, Mark Westcott, Mike Milewski
and Robert Tangora. He then studied Long Yang style
with Shing Perng, and Chen Pan-Ling style Tai Chi with
Kai Sung. In 1981 he was with the first U.S. Delegation
to learn the original Chen Style of Tai Chi in China
with the world's top masters: Chen Xiaowang, Feng Zhiqiang
and Ge Chunyan.
Jampa
served as director and President of the Rochester T'ai
Chi Ch'uan Center from 1982-1990. Other teachers included
Ken Cohen, Ray Hayward, T.T. Liang, Stuart Alve Olson,
Paul Gallagher, Sam Masich, Yin Chian-Ho, Gunther Weil,
and Hwang Shie-Ming
Jampa has taught thousands of students over the past
32 years throughout the United States, as well as in
Canada, Ecuador, and the Caribbean.
