Mindfulness is the practice of bringing one's attention to the present moment. We grow our abilities in mindfulness through simple meditation, abiding in stillness and breathing exercise.
Over the past 20 years, mindfulness has grown dramatically in national popularity, and is now taught in primary and secondary schools, college education, businesses, prisons, hospitals, veterans' centers, therapy programs and government. People who apply mindfulness experience a reduction in stress, an increased sense of well-being and joy, and improved clarity and health.
In this three-week class, you will learn all the steps needed to enjoy the benefits of mindfulness practice and enrich your daily life.
Jampa Mackenzie Stewart is a meditation teacher who studied mindfulness as a close personal student of Thich Nhat Hanh, who ordained Jampa in 1987. Jampa teaches many different styles of meditation and movement, and practices as a licensed acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist.
